Impregnation of electric motors

Impregnation technology

High quality in series production

Impregnation technology is needed in the production of electric drives, both for hybrid technology and for fully electric drives for cars and trucks. During impregnation, the cavities between wires are closed and sealed. This provides better electrical insulation and prevents vibration. Impregnation increases thermal conductivity and contributes to a better environmental balance.

Optimal production lines

Process quality

When resin is applied to a stator or rotor, the right quantity and with the right curing and gelling conditions are key. The resin, machine and process parameters need to be in optimal harmony. Therefore our Technology Center has all needed testing and analysis options, to develop the optimal impregnation processes for serial production. Take advantage of our many years of experience in processing electric motors.

The result is a fully automatic production line with full process control for high quality stators and rotors which include shortest cycle times with the lowest TCO, optimum machine layouts and result in clean impregnation results.

Increased durability

Clever Thermal Management

Heat management is vital for impregnating motors and powder coating welds. By carefully managing heat distribution for both stators and the varnish, we ensure uniform resin flow and superior insulation properties.

Similarly, powder coating the welds of hairpin stators demands meticulous attention to heat management. Effective temperature regulation guarantees a flawless coating application, resulting in enhanced durability and resistance to environmental factors, even on complex designs. Proper thermal management results in optimal insulation, flawless coating and increased durability.

High performing motors

Best filling grades - 99% plus

A high filling grade is required to reduce the risk of partial discharges. With the right equipment and process control in place a trickling varnish process results in similar filling grades as a conventional dipping process.
